Omega-3 Fish oil for Healthy Skin and Hair
Essential fatty acids like omega-3s and omega-6s are essential for the sebaceous glands in our skin and hair to produce sebum. Sebum is the natural moisturiser for our skin, and the natural oil for our hair, and if we don’t have enough of it, our skin can dry out causing redness and acne, and our hair can dry out causing dry, brittle, frizzy hair with split ends.
Sebum is not a “bad” oil to have in your hair. It gives hair moisture and shine as it travels naturally down the hair shaft, and serves as a protective substance preventing the hair from drying out or absorbing excessive amounts of external substances.
Those who do not eat a lot of oily fish (like me) tend to have dry hair and/or skin as the sebaceous glands in their skin and hair follicles are unable to produce enough sebum.
The answer (if you don’t eat a lot of oily fish) is to take a Fish Oil supplement – preferably the most potent one on the market, which is Forever Living’s Arctic Sea. Because it is made from wild fish, not farmed fish, it is far more potent than other brands on the market as well as guilt-free because it is more environmentally sustainable. How? Read the article below for more information.
I have been using it for the past 2 months and my hair has improved vastly as you can see from the picture above! I don’t eat much fish but didn’t realise that this was the reason why I always had dry, brittle hair. I could never grow it long. Now I have less breakage and damage, despite the fact that as a Dive Instructor, I am constantly exposing it to the sun, wind, sea and chlorinated water! As a result of using Forever Arctic Sea Omega-3 Fish Oil tablets and Forever Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair is now longer than ever before. I have less breakage and damage, and it is more shiny, smooth and soft. My skin also looks more healthy, and my finger nails are stronger! This stuff is amazing, it is hands down the best natural boost to my beauty I have ever had, without having to put on any makeup or visit a hair dresser!
